Edit: I know because if you pay attention to the gem price, you can see that it's fluctuating all the time. One day you get 110 gems for 10g, the other day you get 130 gems. That's how it is. Buy them when you get 130 and you get your char slots more than 15% cheaper, that's how it is. And during char slot sale it will obviously be more expensive.
